This annual art/song prize invites people of all ages to create original works that honour kangaroos and reflect this year’s theme: Revere and Respect

We encourage artists to explore the beauty, presence, and significance of kangaroos in ways that inspire deeper appreciation and understanding.

Who can enter

The Art/Song Prize is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a student, emerging artist, or experienced creator, your work is welcome.

Accepted mediums

You can submit artwork in any of the following forms:

  • Painting

  • Drawing

  • Sculpture

  • Printmaking

  • Songwriting

Please note: AI-generated work is not permitted.

Entry requirements

  • All artwork/songs must be original

  • Entries must respond to the theme Revere and Respect

  • Submit clear photographs of your artwork (multiple angles recommended for sculptures) or send us your mp3 file or music video

  • Include your name, age (if under 18), artwork title, and a short description if you wish
