Kangaroo Yarning Session at Early Start Discovery Space

We are excited to share info about this cultural learning event coming up at the Early Start Discovery Space on World Kangaroo Day!

The session will be a yarning circle with our little ones (Early Years) focusing on the kangaroo and why caring for our ancient animals so important. Children will be invited to embody the kangaroo through movement and explore the significance of the pouch.

The program includes storytelling and dance, with kids experiencing the movement of a baby kangaroo (joey) in the pouch. Parents and carers are warmly welcomed to join in and participate alongside their children.

This be a fantastic hands-on way for our littlies to connect with Country and learn about our native animals through story and movement!
