Care Factor Nullius – the tROO STORY cabaret comes to the Melbourne Fringe after bounding through the Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Newcastle Fringes. It’s a hilarious and heartbreaking cabaret about kangaroos, telling the true story of what happens to these gentle creatures in the so-called Bush Capital of Australia.

In 'Care Factor Nullius', award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and performer Katie Cole brings her original songs about Odette an Eastern Grey Kangaroo, originally from the Bush Capital but now making her way in the Big Smoke working for Tourism Australia… Or is she?! Laugh, cry, and sing along as the myth of Australia’s reverence for its most iconic indigenous animal is turned into a musical thriller before your eyes!

This unique musical tribute to the Kangaroo from the heart of the Bush Capital is the perfect way to mark the lead up to World Kangaroo Day 2025.
