RIDE SMART. GO KANGAROO-FREE!
Phillip Island MotoGP 2026 | 24–25 October
Kangaroos Alive is joining forces with Italian animal rights organisation LAV (Lega Anti Vivisezione) at the 2026 Phillip Island MotoGP to send a powerful message to the motorcycle racing industry: It's time to leave kangaroo leather behind!
Our Ride Smart. Go Kangaroo-Free! campaign calls on motorcycle racing suit manufacturers, professional riders and racing authorities to move away from kangaroo leather and embrace high-performance, animal-free alternatives.
Kangaroos continue to be killed for their skins, which are used in motorcycle racing suits, despite the availability of synthetic alternatives.
Across the two days, we'll be engaging with racing fans, raising awareness and encouraging the MotoGP community to become part of the solution.
And we won't be hard to find! We'll be bringing a MASSIVE inflatable kangaroo to help get our message noticed by fans, riders and the media.
Together, Kangaroos Alive and LAV are calling on the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and motorcycle gear manufacturers to help make kangaroo-free racing the future.
Love motorcycle racing? Love kangaroos? You can support both!
Join us at Phillip Island on 24 and 25 October and help us spread the message:
